Summer Internships |
Introduction
Framestore is the largest visual effects and computer animation studio in Europe, with over 20 years of experience in digital film and video technology. Our Framestore Summer Internships provide undergraduate students with the opportunity to experience work and life at Framestore, offering a valuable insight into our business and culture.
Framestore is situated in the West End of London, right in the heart of Soho. The culture of the company is young, vibrant, friendly and informal. Our offices are located on both sides of Oxford Street close to a vast array of shops, restaurants, bars and night clubs.
For the sixth year running we are offering students from across Europe the opportunity to spend 8 weeks working alongside our talented CG artists on current Film and Commercials projects. Eligible candidates should be about to enter their final year of study. We will expect students to have conducted research into the business and their chosen career path, and to have demonstrated a genuine commitment to that field.
We are offering Internships in the following business areas:
- 3D - Animation, Modelling, Technical Direction
- 2D - Roto-scoping, Compositing
- Commercials - Broadcast Post Production
- Engineering - Systems Engineering

Whichever area you end up working in you will be given a real taste of life at Framestore working alongside other placement students and many talented and experienced artists on exciting live projects. We hope to work with you to make this summer the most productive and enjoyable possible.
As a placement student you will be exposed to a wide range of work and will be given a real-life view of what a career with Framestore would be like. Your learning will be through a combination of hands-on experience, scheduled presentations and informal get-togethers. You will have the opportunity to learn first-hand what a career in post-production would be like.
In 2009 our Interns had the opportunity to work on some very cool projects, including Avatar by James Cameron, Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes, Prince of Persia by Jerry Bruckheimer, as well as a host of other amazing shows. We have a very impressive line up for 2010 so it looks like another great year!
